Samaritain Ministry Food Pantry, located on Highway 90 in Secure Mini Storage, across the Highway from the Ocean Springs Imaging Center, is open Monday - Thursday from 9 AM to Noon.

The Lord Is My Help is in need of volunteers. If you are interested in serving call John Kendall at 228-875-5398.
The Lord is My Help is located at 1205 Desoto St. in Ocean Springs. It is a food kitchen with in-house lunch served Monday - Friday 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM; the pantry is open 9-11 AM.
The food kitchen has been feeding the elderly, ill, disabled, poor and indigent people in parts of Jackson and Harrison counties since 1984. Then, they served 400 meals per month. Today, they serve more than 4,500 meals a month. In 2010 they prepared and served over 55,000 meals. Two thirds of all meals prepared are delivered to the elderly, ill and disabled.
They also distribute an average of 400 emergency grocery bags each month & assist patrons by providing contact information for organizations that address their other needs.
Helping Hands 2 is a ministry of St. Paul UMC formed to assist church members with transportation and with minor home repairs and/or maintenance. The target groups are the elderly, disabled and others who have difficulty with these tasks. To Volunteer for this ministry or to provide ideas, call Tommy Fairfield 228-224-3510 or David W.
