It was while a student at the Divinity School at Duke University where I met Ann, also a Divinity student, and married in May 1994.  Our first child, Erin, was born in August 1995.  Upon graduation in 1996, Ann and I were appointed to the West Point, MS area where I served the Cedar Bluff Charge.  In 1998 Ann and I were appointed to the Meridian area where I served Wesley and Concord UMCs.  In 1999 we welcomed daughter Lauren and then son Ryan in 2002.  In 2002 Jon and Ann were appointed to churches in Pike County where Jon served Felder UMC and McComb: Pearl River Avenue church.  In 2007 Jon was appointed to First UMC in Iuka, MS and then appointed this summer to St. Paul UMC where I am looking forward to serving, along with the congregation and staff, in ministry on the gulf coast.

This fall Erin will be a sophomore at Mississippi State University.  Lauren will be a freshman at Ocean Springs High School and Ryan will be in the seventh grade at Ocean Springs Middle School.  Ann will serve the Seashore District as an Interim Ministry Specialist.  In time off I enjoy watching our children’s ballgames, working with wood, reading, and golfing.
