Dear St. Paul Family,

I hope you had a great Fourth of July!

We begin our Sundays in July this weekend with Communion Sundayand a reception for our new Associate Pastors, Nathan and Hannah Hutchinson. The reception will be at Downtown Campus after the 10:30 DT service. You are invited to bring a side dish to share (or just come and enjoy!), and a pounding gift or are gift card/certificate for our new pastors is an option. Please remember that in July and August, Downtown campus will have one service at 10:30 a.m.Nathan and Hannah will be preaching on Exodus 32: 9-14; 33: 1-3, 12-17, “Prayers that Move the Heart of God.”

For services at East this Sunday, 9:00 and Live at 11:11, I will be offering a message on the first of three essential prayers, “Help, Thanks, Wow!”, John 14: 25-27 (The Message). Let’s face it, life can be hard, we live on a hard planet, and we’re a vulnerable species. Sometimes all we do is cry out, “Help!”

The United Methodist Men meet tomorrow (Saturday) for breakfastand devotional at McElroy's restaurant at 7:00 a.m. All are welcome!

Please be sure and check the information below for youth and children’s activities coming up soon.

Also, this month is Operation Shoebox month for St. Paul, or “Christmas in July” as we’re calling it. You’re invited to prepare your shoebox(es) to make a child in another part of the world feel loved next Christmas.

Looking forward to Sunday! Until then, have a blessed weekend,

Rick
