Hello, I am the Rev. Dr. Rick Brooks, a native of Raymond, MS, have been an ordained elder in the Mississippi Conference of the United Methodist Church since 1990. I have pastored St. Luke United Methodist Church in Tupelo (2008-2016), Main Street United Methodist in Bay St. Louis (2002-2008). In both of those appointments, I have led several disaster efforts to ensure security.

I am married to Lynn Loflin Brooks, who found her niche in public education as a media specialist. We have two children, Catherine, and John Wesley, who has special needs. My parents are Fred (deceased) and Sue Brooks, of Clinton, Mississippi.

I graduated from Raymond High School, Hinds Community College, and Mississippi State University, I have advanced degrees from Candler School of Theology, Emory University (MDiv), and Columbia Theological Seminary (DMin), with a
focus on Church and Ministry. I love to preach, teach, and connect with people in new ways with the love of Christ. I also have a keen interest in spiritual direction, reading, singing, golf, and running and walking with Gambit, the family Australian Shepherd. Our family is thrilled to be ministering on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and living and serving in Ocean Springs with the people of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
